Optimize Afterpay
Bolt only presents Afterpay as a payment option on the Checkout page. To get the best results from Afterpay, integrate our Onsite Messaging Widget product for both checkout and product pages.
Install and Configure Afterpay
Do the following to enable your customers to use Afterpay as a payment method on your Bolt checkout page:

Log in to the Bolt Merchant Dashboard.

Go to Settings > Payments.

Find Alternative Payment Methods and click Add Afterpay.

Follow the instructions on the page. You must enter the Merchant ID and Secret Key that we have given you.

Define the default division settings:

Currency: Select the allowed currency: CAD.

Min Transaction Amount: $1

Max Transaction Amount: $2000
Note
The minimum and maximum transaction amounts are default amounts attached to your Afterpay Account. If you want to change these amounts, please contact the Afterpay Merchant Admin Team.
- Capture Payment: Select either Immediately or Manually.

To enable Afterpay in checkout immediately, set the Enable in Checkout toggle to ON.

Select Add Afterpay.
Note
At present (March 2025) this Afterpay integration with Bolt is only available in Canada.
